Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)
This was an advanced multi-disciplinary engineering project to build a robot quadruped that would then compete in a robotics competition at the end of the year. My team's robot won first place by a landslide.
- Team leader of 7 through 3 quarter-long phases of CAD design, hardware sourcing, and fullstack development
- Interfaced custom Arduino board with MPU, 11 servos, master Raspi serial controller, and web UI frontend
- Built wireless voice control RESTful API, sonar obstacle avoidance, and active balancing with MPU gyro
